Hopefully no-one else will have my experience.Recently, with the introduction of the Low Traffic Neighbourhood Scheme and some other COVID-related changes, we realise there have been some growing concerns about access into Kings Heath. Chances are I won't be going there again even though I pass it every day. I am not an overly sensitive person or one that likes to complain, but I really felt I had to convey to others what happened to me. I ended up driving to BikePro in Kings Heath where the customer service was impeccable. The sad thing is, that I live less than a five minutes walk from the shop. Where was the customer service I keep reading about regarding this store? Because it was certainly absent in my case. The shop assistant couldn't have been unaware of me being there so I can only thing I can conclude is that he didn't care I was waiting for so long without acknowledgement. He could've said " I'll be with you shortly" or something similar, I would've been happy with that, but nothing. I'm a big guy and was in line-of-sight and the assistant wouldn't have not been aware of me being there. Yes, I could've interrupted the conversation they were having but I thought it more polite to wait.
When the call finished the assistant walked past me and started dealing with the customer that was already there, I have no problem with that at all BUT, I was stood there for a total of nine minutes which is an awful long time without acknowledgment of my presence. When I walked into the store the assistant was already in conversation on the phone and there was one more customer inside the shop. I went to the shop to pick up some bearings for my mountain bike headset. Unfortunately my experience at Ladypool cycles was not a good one.
